This is a door panel based on the ones used at Disney's Galaxy's Edge Black Spire Outpost. I built this prop for use in a fan film called The Han Solo Chronicles. This build was a unique challenge for me in two ways. First, I have never worked with lighting a prop before and secondly, creating the buttons. I have not worked with colored acrylic so I had to get creative by using colored resin poured into the hollowed spaces for the buttons. I used hot glue and putty to shore up the joints so no resin seeped out while it cured. I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it worked.
