Electrobinoculars
Electrobinoculars were handheld viewing devices that enabled users to view objects from afar. Unlike macrobinoculars, electrobinoculars enhanced images via built-in hardware. Examples of the types of enhancements electrobinoculars boasted included sensors to detect life signs, power frequencies, invisible defensive screens or radiation, night vision and rangefinding capability, and/or screen out atmospheric interference. - Wookiepedia
These Electrobinoculars have always been one of my favorite props from the Empire Strikes Back. The lenses proved to be a new problem I had initially tried to sidestep entirely by not including them. It was solved by a sudden inspiration of dissecting a set of googly eyes and a clear DIY christmas ornament kit I found at the craft store. Similarly to all my other prints, this prop is entirely printed with PLA.
